ACTAA Fall Conference is the state's conference for communication, debate, & theatre educators. Each year, the ACTAA membership convenes for a three-day conference which includes professional development sessions, networking opportunities, the annual membership business meeting, and the presentations of the ACTAA Teacher of the Year, ACTAA Administrator of the Year, and Lifetime Memberships awards. Traditionally, the Fall Conference has 60-80 educators in attendance. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CREDITThe Arkansas Department of Education approves ACTAA to offer certified professional development sessions for both district and state-level requirements of professional development. Evidence of professional development credit will be provided only to paid registrants to the conference. At the end of the session, facilitators will provide participants who completed the session a QR code that will direct participants to Google Form. Each participant must complete the respective Google Form for each session to receive credit for professional development. Upon completing each Google Form, the participant will receive a unique link to that session's PD verification documents. Following the conference, Tiffany Tucker, Professional Development Coordinator can be contacted to email PD verification documents to each paid registrant who attended each respective session/ meeting. Previous Conferences:Conference Theme: As an organization, we must continue to grow by adapting to changing needs and environments. The focus of Fall Conference 2024 is to better engage as a community while learning in the rustic, natural surroundings of Petit Jean State Park. We will gather in different locations within a mile or two of one another. From Mather Lodge to the Visitor’s Center and finally to the Winthrop Rockefeller Center for our business meeting and luncheon. Fall Conference 2024 will be a rustic experience where we will rely on one another to know where we are going, literally and metaphorically.
